Successful Golf Tournament Organized by Skycomp Team

Golf For Good: Skycomp’s 3rd Annual Charity Golf Tournament

On Friday, September 20th, Skycomp Solutions held its 3rd Annual Charity Golf Tournament, raising funds for Community Crew, an organization that works tirelessly to fight child hunger in the Niagara area. With the support of participants and sponsors, this year’s event turned into an incredible success, bringing the community together for a worthy cause.

This year, we have 33 schools on board that we pack lunches for,” said Katy Herron, Director of Donor and Public Relations at Community Crew. Through initiatives like this, Community Crew ensures that children across Niagara receive nutritious meals they might not otherwise have.

The tournament was a fantastic day, with 108 golfers participating, supported by 18 hole sponsors and 24 raffle prizes generously donated by organizations across Ontario. Thanks to the contributions and dedication of all involved, we were able to raise $15,690.08 for Community Crew.

We would like to extend a special thank you to our title sponsor, Lenovo, and our hole sponsors: Niagara IceDogs, Arctic Wolf, Stanpac, Fonthill Massage Therapy Clinic, Big Country Raw, The Benefits Trust, Castle Building Centres, Design Electronics, First Nations University of Canada, Gemini Windows, Doors & Siding, Hallex Engineering Ltd., Healthy Eats, SentinelOne, Tournkey, Quality Belt Maintenance, StuCor Construction Ltd., and Telecable.ca & Security. Their support played a vital role in making the tournament a success.

The day was filled with fun, laughter, and a few challenges. We introduced activation holes with exciting activities such as “Hit IT to Win IT,” a putting challenge, and even a “Closest to the Dummy” challenge featuring a target with Serge’s face on it! The weather was on our side too—September in Niagara can be unpredictable, but we had the perfect day for golf.

After the tournament, we visited Community Crew to witness firsthand the incredible work they do. It was inspiring to see volunteers setting up tables, donning PPE, and swiftly packing lunches to ensure they reached kids on time. “Your donation today will cover a week and a half of lunches for all the schools in the Niagara area,” Katy said. “We’re really shocked that you’re donating over $15,000! This money is already spent!” she laughed.

The success of this year’s event was truly a community effort, and we couldn’t have done it without everyone who participated, sponsored, or contributed in some way. Thank you for helping us make a difference for the children in Niagara!

Stop worrying about IT.

If our team sounds like a good fit for your organization, we’d love the opportunity to show you how we can help.
